June 2010

Maryland’s Merriweather Post Pavilion is surrounded by trees.  The stage itself has exposed wood, helping the venue to visually blend in with its’ surroundings, if not aurally.

Coming off of The String Cheese Incident’s huge return to the stage last summer at ROTHBURY, the band will play a handful of select dates in 2010: Colorado’s historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 23rd, 24th and 25th, Horning’s Hideout, outside of Portland, Oregon on July 30th, 31st and August 1st, and Hampton Coliseum during Halloween weekend. Tickets for Red Rocks and Horning’s Hideout sold out in just minutes, and Hampton Coliseum seats are moving quickly.

Furthur played this past weekend at MCU Park in Brooklyn New York, home to the Brooklyn Cyclones and just adjacent to one of the most famous amusement parks in the world, Coney Island. Growing up 10 minutes from NYC I felt almost embarrassed to admit I have never been to Coney Island before.

The 5th annual Sonic Bloom festival has officially SOLD OUT. Promoters are asking all non-ticket holding patrons not to come to the festival site without a ticket in hand.
