MerleFest, presented by Window World, has begun accepting entries for the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest this month and will continue until February 2017. The Chris Austin Songwriting Contest is one of the most acclaimed songwriting contests in roots and Americana music and has a reputation for launching careers and discovering important new talent.

Music transcendency is often times the result of relentless patience, self-awareness and significant hours mastering technique. Crafting a product that reflects these characteristics can often times be a daunting task for artists, and for many musicians the perfect composition often times doesn’t translate in the studio. For Georgia-based jamtronica pioneers STS9 however, this enigma may have finally been mastered.

Steve DeAngelo with Harborside (nation’s largest licensed pot dispensary, which serves 108,000 patients in Oakland, CA) will be answering questions as the opening act.  Lorin Rowan will be sitting in and other VERY special guests.

Every guest will get a rock poster by Alexandra Fischer commemorating the event and they’ll also get a great many Pro-Pot Poster
