Town Mountain and Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters, two stellar bands from Asheville, North Carolina, are teaming up for the Asheville Holiday Hang as a run of shows in the Southeast, sponsored by New Belgium Brewing Company. Ashvegas’ Caleb Calhoun calls them, “a match made in heaven.”

To celebrate the release of OGOGO, Mike Gordon and his band will be doing a two special in-store mini-electric performance & autograph signings on tour. The first is this week at The Sound Garden in Syracuse, NY and the next will be on the last day of tour at Twist & Shout Records in Denver. Details about both are here.

The world's most obscure art-rock band opens a door on endless options by inviting die-hard fans to submit their own original versions of the band's songs and offering the possibility of appearing on the I AM A RESIDENT! album.

SINCERELY, L. COHEN: A LIVE CELEBRATION OF LEONARD COHEN is out now via Royal Potato Family and just last week would have been the legendary singer-songwriter's 83rd birthday. Cohen passed away on November 7, 2016, one day before the presidential election, but the world didn't find out until several days later.

Phil Rudd is, according to Modern Drummer magazine, "the very definition of rock drumming". Malcolm Young co-founder of AC/DC describes his long term bandmate as “the real deal”. Kenny Aronoff, drummer for John Mellencamp says Phil Rudd is “the rock drummer” and Eric Singer of Kiss sings Rudd’s praises as “the heart and soul of AC/DC”.

A classical tabla virtuoso of the highest order, Zakir Hussain is well-known for his constant explorations of music from around the world. His latest ensemble, CrossCurrents, attempts to portray all directions of inspiration between the idioms of jazz and Indian music. The great bassist Dave Holland, a player with one of the most distinguished careers in jazz, brings his singular vision to the group.
