Matador! Soul Sounds is proud to announce their debut album Get Ready. The band consists of the dream team of Eddie Roberts (New Mastersounds) and Alan Evans (Soulive) alongside keyboardist Chris Spies and bassist Kevin Scott. Rounding out the already killer line-up are vocalists Kimberly Dawson (Pimps of Joytime) and Adryon de León (Orgone) bringing their soulful and powerful energy to the mix.
Maria Muldaur will join The Garcia Project on March 8, 2018 at Club Fox in Redwood City, CA for one special night to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Jerry Garcia Band’s “Cats Under The Stars” tour from 1978. “Cats Under The Stars” was Jerry Garcia’s favorite album and the tour was filled with great songs and energy. The Devil Makes Three are one of those bands that seemed to emerge out the gate with their vision cast in concrete. There were no hidden tricks up their sleeves, no gimmicks to lure in some hip audience. From the get-go, they’ve managed to invigorate the old soul of bluegrass music with the kind of youthful spirit it seems it was always meant to possess, and in turn, the group has found themselves to be a shining light in the 21st-century scene.
The ever-active Chris Robinson, amid plenty of Chris Robinson Brotherhood concert dates in early 2018, has brought together a new amalgamation of renowned players including Robinson, Greg Loiacono, Pete Sears, Barry Sless, and John Molo, who together call themselves the Green Leaf Rustlers.
Garcia’s at The Capitol Theatre is excited to host a Fat Tuesday Funk Party on February 13 with performances by Jen Durkin and the Business and Tracy Jo & the Toads.
During the middle of recording his debut album The Road, John John Brown fell down a 75 foot well and luckily his acoustic guitar broke his fall. He was literally saved by music. Although much of the "The Road" is still in the vault, Brown's live acoustic performances of the album have been garnering much critical acclaim.
