Ambassadors of funk Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band are proud to announce plans to release a new studio album chock full of rump-shaking tunes inspired by the classic funk era. Funk Life, the quintet’s follow-up to 2013’s Onward! is set to be released next spring. As the band’s fourth full-length album, Funk Life will deliver all of the classic Booty Band elements of deep grooves and smoking horns, with a smattering of special guests.
Booty Band will hit the road this fall with an arsenal of new songs and shows along the entire East Coast. YMBFBB are blazing a path on I-95 leaving a wake of good times and dancing shoes with stops from the top of Maine all the way down to the Conch Republic for Key West’s famed Fantasy Fest. Fans will get an extra dose of funk when they catch Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band opening for Dumpstaphunk in Athens and Chattanooga plus additional co-bill performances with Spiritual Rez in Florida and The Mantras in North Carolina. On November 13th, the Booty Band will return to the nation’s capital in follow up to their recent DC performance opening for godfathers of funk, George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic.
