Not even three months in, 2010 has already proven to be a banner year for Nneka.  The Nigerian-born artist continues her mission of spreading hope, optimism, and truth with a series of performances at SXSW.  Her US album debut, Concrete Jungle, has been lauded by critics and fans alike.  From playing sold-out shows to performing on “Late Night With David Letterman” to being cited as an artist to watch by Rolling Stone and SPIN, Nneka’s message has proven itself to be universal.

Nneka has been selected for The Artist Discovery Series at Whole Foods Market, which is produced by Inspire, a music branding firm in Los Angeles.  Concrete Jungle is now being sold at Whole Foods stores across the nation.

“It’s such an honor to partner with a company that celebrates talented new artists of the world,” says Jimmy Dunne, CEO of Inspire.  “Nneka’s passion to make the world a better place wonderfully aligns with Whole Foods Market.”

James Schoensiegel, Music Supervisor for Inspire, recommended Nneka to Whole Foods after he saw her perform at the Hotel Café in Hollywood.  “There was a sense of awe and magic that filled the room when she took the stage.  Nneka is the voice of a generation that desires peace.  Nneka deserves to be heard.”
