Dark Star Orchestra is thrilled to announce the band’s first Jamaican excursion entitled ‘Jam in the Sand.’  The event is anchored by a partnership with Island Gigs, who will be hosting the event at the five-star, adults-only, all-inclusive Breezes Grand Resort in Negril, Jamaica, March 1-5, 2013. After performing in Japan in 2011 and with their quickly approaching March 2012 shows in London and Amsterdam, Dark Star Orchestra continues their international touring with this announcement of their first ever land-based shows in the Caribbean. Having performed to sold out audiences at home and abroad, Dark Star Orchestra is the world’s most talented and acclaimed Grateful Dead tribute act. Over their nearly 15 years and more than 2000 shows together, the band has performed with many talented artists, including five original members of the Grateful Dead, and their live performances have been acclaimed by Rolling Stone, USA Today and National Public Radio. Esteemed looping soloist, Keller Williams, will be joining DSO on the sandy beaches and performing three sets at Jam in the Sand. Breezes Grand Negril is the flagship of the Breezes fleet of super inclusive resorts and commands an impressive stretch of Negril's breathtaking beach.
