Jupiter in Velvet is based out of London and has received critical acclaim from many music critics from around the globe. With the release of his Debut CD ‘Screaming the Love Behind the Scars’, Jupiter has landed and is set to achieve galactic domination. The 10 song CD is available on their website, iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon and many more global digital distributorsScreaming the Love Behind the Stars is one release that certainly doesn’t disappoint. This is artist that brings to the table effective songwriting via a highly marketable musical delivery. This meshed with a one in a million Punk Pop Rock sound and effective visuals and vocals makes for a very effective combination no doubt. Jupiter in Velvet is just a breath away from Modern Pop or even Light Punk but skillfully and methodically never crosses the line into those realms. All songs are impressive snapshots - wonderfully simple but masterful in their overall arrangements. I can also hear a slight old school psychedelic UK Punk-esque touch to the music as well like Iggy Pop, Rolling Stones and Roxy Music. I might add Jupiter in Velvet is no slouch on all instruments. Music reminded me of a cross between The Velvet Underground and Todd Rundgren. This CD is quite entertaining overall with an amazing vocal front of Jupiter in Velvet who is a musical triple threat in my mind.  He is a world class songwriter; he has an amazing voice and a likeable musical personality. His lyrical content is straight from the heart and offers a very strong and confident male perspective and spirit. No doubt many females will love him as well. All song do exactly what they are meant to do via well-crafted movements and top tiered musicianship. The overall production value is superb with a crystal clear sound quality.Jupiter in Velvet should put at least one “Bad or Naughty/ Bad Boy” statement on his CD that goes against the grain of the rest of the material. I think this will keep people guessing, off center and speak to even more rebellious fans in the process. Many of these complements are elements of classic punk anyway.Jupiter in Velvet has proven himself with this latest release. Whoever he is - he is clearly an up and coming talent around London. He’s clearly capable musicians. I must admit Screaming the Love Behind the Stars sucked me in like a powerful drug and refused to let go long after the music was over. This usually indicates he is something special about the artist or band in question. Thus deserving praise, recognition and musical fame at the international level.Rating: 8/10 | Learn more about Jupiter in Velvet or to purchase Screaming the Love Behind the Stars, click here.
