Dead & Company and The Allman Brothers Band bassist Oteil Burbridge teams up with comedian Mike Finoia to co-host Comes A Time, a new interview podcast series. Burbridge and Finoia are joined by a variety of guests to discuss a range topical issues, where they are today and where they go from here. On episode seven, Burbridge and Finoia welcome longtime Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart. The interview will be available on Friday, August 28 on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever podcasts can be streamed.

Hart discusses his legendary career with the Grateful Dead, Dead and Co. and the diverse styles of music he’s performed and produced over the years. He delves into what it was like to be in a band with two drummers, why he has a deep appreciation for global music and what he means when he describes himself as a ‘noiseician’.

Hart is best known as a drummer in the Grateful Dead, which for three decades channeled the voices and visions of rock’s psychedelic counterculture and blended them with folk, blues, country, jazz and other American music streams. Hart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and named to Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Drummers of All Time.
