This Saturday, November 23, CRYPTICAL and a special stealth guest are at 19 Broadway in Fairfax, CA, rocking the night away and raising funds for Rex. Then on Wednesday, November 27, the New Riders of the Purple Sage give us something to be grateful for at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, a pre-holiday concert with a portion of the proceeds going to Rex.On December 1 at The Mint in Los Angeles, Cubensis hosts its traditional post-Thanksgiving potluck and party, with the return of Rex Karaoke: make a donation to Rex, sing the Grateful Dead tune of your choice with the band!In other news: We're hoping to see many of you at The Fillmore on Saturday, December 7 for Nightfall of Diamonds, and wanted to let you know about special Rex hotel deals at the Hotel Kabuki and Hotel Tomo, walking distance from the Fillmore. Make reservations by Friday, November 22.Finally, we're pleased to announce that thanks to your generosity, we've recently been able to present grants to even more organizations around the world doing great work. Rex's grant is helping the Windham Harm Reduction Center in Connecticut to start the state's first Overdose Prevention Education and Naloxone Distribution Program (OEND)  to help stem the epidemic of drug deaths due to overdose. The Rainforest Information Centre in Australia is using Rex's grant to help save the Cardamom forest, the largest remaining rainforest in Southeast Asia. Then there's San Francisco Opera Parallèle, developing and performing contemporary music and opera of the highest artistic caliber in a meaningful and rewarding way. Read about them and more 2013 grant recipients here.
