Phil Lesh Blood Drive in Denver

Phil Lesh will be at Bonfils Blood Center's Lowry Donor Center on Saturday, June 19, 2004 to increase awareness about the importance of giving blood. Lesh received a liver transplant and is an advocate for blood, organ and tissue donation. He dedicates much of his time at similar events across the country to promote blood donation and express his gratitude to donors. Lesh will be at the Lowry Donor Center for a portion of the blood drive.

The Phil Lesh blood drive will help support the community blood supply at a critical time as blood donations decrease up to 20 percent during summer months. Bonfils needs 4,200 volunteers to give blood each week to meet Colorado's needs and maintain a disaster buffer for unexpected events. Donors receive a free Bonfils' t-shirt and a signed poster and 103.5 The Fox radio station will broadcast at this great event.

There is no appointment necessary for the blood drive, but we expect a large turn out so allow plenty of time for your donation.
