Fresh off a sold-out hometown NYE show at Hodi's, Whitewater Ramble (WWR) has announced their return with a special 4/20 party that will feature the music of the legendary Bob Markley. Tickets this weekend (3/6 - 3/8) will be priced at only $4.20 before going up to $10 ADV / $12 DOS.
“Over the last few months we've been experimenting with different theme nights at winter residencies in Denver and Frisco,” says mandolin player Patrick Sites. “So far we've tackled The Dead, Old & In the Way, Paul Simon and Bob Marley. The Marley shows were stacked with special guest vocalists and other well know Colorado musicians and we expect the same for our hometown 4/20 FoCo party.”
Red hot and bringing an outrageous jamgrass party everywhere they go, Whitewater Ramble is currently on tour behind their sophomore release Roots & Groove which was produced by Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth. The album features an array of special guests such as Andy Hall on dobro (Infamous Stringdusters), Andy Thorn on banjo (Leftover Salmon), Grammy Award winner John Macy on pedal steel, Bill McKay (Leftover Salmon, Derek Trucks Band) on piano and Tim Carbone on electric guitar and vocals.
Described as "High-Octane Rocky Mountain DanceGrass", Whitewater Ramble uses a simple recipe to craft it's sound: start with bluegrass instrumentation, add drums, and finish with a boundary-less approach to grassing-up everything from disco house grooves to roots to Americana.
