SONIC BLOOM Announces Full Event Experience
Under the expansive Colorado skies are where stars are born each year at SONIC BLOOM, taking place June 13-16 at Shadow’s Ranch in gorgeous Georgetown, CO. The same big names you see gracing the lineups of festivals from coast to coast first hit the stage at SONIC BLOOM, the country’s premier boutique electronic music festival.
This year’s lineup is no different with 31 additions made in the latest wave of artist announcements. Hip-hop impresarios The Grouch & Eligh are bringing their conscious rhymes to the festival, along with hometown heroes Yuyu (Cualli & Omega), the high-flying antics of Future Simple Project, and acoustic activist Michael Garfield. These acts and more join headliners VibeSquaD, Minnesota, The Polish Ambassador, Bluetech, Phutureprimitive, and so many more for an extravagant weekend of sonic exploration, progressive advocacy, engaging workshops, and healing energy.
Musical highlights include a performance by The SONIC BLOOM Orchestra, comprised of Jason Hann, Michael Travis, Aaron Holstein (VibeSquaD), and a bevy of talent from the SONIC BLOOM lineup performing an all improvised electronic group set. The festival will also bear witness to Travis’ debut DJ set, in addition to his keynote performance with host and festival founding act ZILLA. Headliner Random Rab will be hitting the main stage for a powerful live set and then return for his special sunrise DJ set—a trademark of the Bloom experience. This is the most international year the festival has enjoyed with artists from four countries being represented on stages across the event, including Gaudi from Italy, Truth from New Zealand, and Whitebear, Temple Step Project, Goosebumpz, and Opiuo from Australia.
Special workshops and film presentations curated by the Evolver Network will balance the musical emphasis with visionary thought and transformational intention. The Bloom Series will be on-site, collective more footage for its series on transformational festivals, but its completed episodes will be playing as part of the video series. Also on display is the Spirit Science series, covering topics from chakras and feminine vs. masculine energy to sacred geometry and meditation. Colorado’s own sub.mission collective will host a dome for harder-hitting bass music enthusiasts, and special impromptu collaborations are sure to pop up at the event, which has become a beacon for free thinkers and true art seekers.
Boutique is the watch word for SONIC BLOOM—each year tickets dwindle dangerously close to the bottom around a month out, so make sure you head over to sonicbloomfestival.com to grab those while you can. Last year SONIC BLOOM sold out of tickets and we’re on our way in 2013, so don’t get left out! Next week, look out for the final wave of artist additions that will take the lineup to 100 acts.
