Subsynthesis.com has announced the second edition of their highly anticipated fundraising compilation CD, Bass From Above: Volume 2. The 33-track album features a sampling of the nation’s hottest electronic artists and producers including  NiT GriT NastyNasty and up-and-comers Love and Light. Bass from Above, now in its second year, has already worked to raise thousands of dollars for Red Cross efforts in Japan via Music Relief’s ‘Save the Children’ program.

The 2011 earthquake and subsequent tsunami hit a devastating blow to the Japanese community. A country slightly smaller than the size of California, the disaster left over 111,944 buildings destroyed resulting in almost 16,000 reported deaths in just a few days. In an effort to help provide assistance to displaced children and their families, Subsynthesis.com has joined forces with a collective of conscious minded and talented musicians to aid the fundraising efforts and bring the power of transformation into the homes of music lovers everywhere. With over $350,000 combined dollars already raised by the prestigious “music for relief” program, fundraising efforts are already making a massive impact.

For Ethan Michael Baer, a founding member of Subsynthesis.com, the idea of a compilation based fundraising album was a no brainer. And, it didn’t take long for him to bring together the talents of his close friends and fellow producers for a cause that would transcend borders.

"Bass From Above represents the desire of SubSynthesis and the artists involved to make a difference in the world through the music we know and love." stated Baer.

As a result Bass From Above: Volume 2 is a colorful and vibrant electronic music compilation, perfect for any music lovers’ collection. Featuring over 30 DJ’s and electronic music producers, the album highlights cutting edge dubstep, drum and bass and house music developed with beats produced around the globe.
