For the fifth year in a row the Tedeschi Trucks Band, or TTB as their loyal fans prefer to call them, appear in what has fast become their signature musical event.  Since their inception in 2010, TTB have seen all three of their studio albums debut in the Top 15 of the Billboard 200, and won a Grammy for their debut album Revelator.  TTB’s critically-hailed musicianship and full touring schedule have built a dedicated and growing following around the world and earned them a reputation as one of the best live performing bands in the business.  Since the January 2016 release of Let Me Get By, their tour has taken the group across the globe, with dates in Australia, Japan, Europe and Canada, multiple sold-out shows in Nashville, Chicago, Washington DC and Philadelphia, and an unprecedented return engagement to New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

Other exciting top acts announced on this year’s bill for the Festival are: Bruce Hornsby, singer, keyboardist and writer of powerful songs from the heart that touch on several distinctly American traditions: pop, jazz, bluegrass, and '60s soul; Joe Russo, Furthur drummer and founder of the Grateful Dead tribute band Almost Dead brings his Almost Dead experience to Sunshine; Mavis Staples, a legendary R&B singer who is just as well known for her civil rights activism as well as her extraordinary musical talent; Dave Mason, singer, guitarist and songwriter whose musical journey stretches from the 60’s supergroup Traffic to a stellar solo career; the infectious fun and energy of the North Mississippi Allstars; critically acclaimed “souped up string band” Railroad Earth; and the soulful sounds of the Austin duo the Greyhounds.
