Acclaimed bluegrass stalwarts YONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND have collected their favorite jams from the Spring Tour 2018 and have made seven tracks available for free via Soundcloud starting this past Friday, April 20. The songs include stretched-out originals and covers of the Grateful Dead ("Fire On The Mountain"), Talking Heads ("Girlfriend Is Better") and Del McCoury ("All Aboard"). Hines' Finds captures Yonder Mountain String Band in fine form at these seven west coast shows recorded in March of this year, with the music twisting and turning into flows that last up to 30 minutes long. The band's Dave Johnston says, "Being on stage presents a whole set of rewards and challenges for us, and many times, the thrill of the crowd and the moment makes it tricky to know if what's happening has a little something extra. That is why we've decided to run this springs tours through our soundman par excellence Ben Hines' immaculate pair of ears. What do you get? Yonder Mountain String Band--have been touring heavily since the release of the Love. Ain't Love album in June 2017 and will kick off the summer festival season in May 25 at Summer Camp Festival in Illinois and will also perform at the inaugural Great Alaska Music Festival May 27 in Palmer, AK.
