The Allman Betts Band released their sophomore studio album Bless Your Heart (BMG) on Aug 28 and the (usually) 200 tour date a year band has not slowed since. The band played two successful drive-in shows in the Northeast earlier this month as well as a live-streamed show via NoCap. The band is gearing up for three live performances in PA and NY this coming weekend. 

Billy Strings kicked off his "Meet Me At The Drive-In Tour" this past weekend with three shows in Wilkes-Barre, PA at the Mohegan Sun Arena. The band has just announced a partnership with TourGigs that will give fans access to video stream the sold out Sept 16 and 17 performances from the McHenry Outdoor Theater in McHenry, IL, located just outside of Chicago.

The Recording Academy® will honor its 2020 Special Merit Awards recipients with "Great Performances: GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends®," an awards ceremony and tribute concert hosted by Jimmy Jam on Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, at 9 p.m. ET on PBS (check local listings), pbs.org/gperf and the PBS Video app.

Angelo Moore of Fishbone and his project Angelo Moore & The Brand New Step (Ropeadope Records) has teamed up with Bay Area producer Jim Greer (Foster the People, Geographer, Rondo Brothers) and legendary West Coast MC Del The Funky Homosapien and put together a fight-the-power funk anthem called Rebellion.

Also featured on the track are Claude Coleman Jr on drums (Ween) and “Hash” Ashish Vyas on bass guitar (Thievery Corporation).

For the first time in six months, Melvin Seals & JGB return to the stage for a very special one-night event, "Cats On The Bandstand: A Very Melvin Birthday Show.” 

Live music returns to Grundy County, Tennessee with The Caverns Above Ground Concert Series featuring the 4x time Grammy Award-winning Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit on October 9-11, 2020. The concerts will take place outdoors and in pods on a hillside above The Caverns cave music venue and overlooking the beautiful Payne Cove. 

A decade ago Jimmie Vaughan released his definitive album Blues, Ballads and Favorites. It was a stunning collection of 15 of his favorite songs, from Billy Emerson’s “The Pleasure’s All Mine” to Willie Nelson’s “Funny How Time Slips Away,” and featured guest vocals from band members Lou Ann Barton and Bill Willis. Vaughan followed the album up in 2011 with More Blues, Ballads and Favorites, digging deep into the music that had helped shape his life in the blues.

Music City will welcome the eyes of the nation Sept. 22 with “Rock the Vote at Belmont University: Nashville Colleges Celebrate Democracy,” a 90-minute concert event to promote voter registration prior to Belmont’s Oct. 22 hosting of the third and final presidential debate.

Andy Hall, dobro and vocalist for the GRAMMY-award winning bluegrass band the Infamous Stringdusters, is announcing his new solo record, 12 Bluegrass Classics for Resophonic Guitar. The album is to be released on October 16, 2020 on Tape Time Records via Regime Music Group.
