On December 4, 2018 the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) presented American musician, singer, and songwriter John Fogerty with its 12thannual Founders Award, an honor given to artists who have made outstanding contributions in popular music. The award was presented by Alexis Lee, Executive Director of MoPOP, during the museum’s annual fundraiser which this year generated over $950 thousand for the museum.

Kung Fu has been bringing their Lethal Funk all over the country in 2018.  The tour continues through December in the southeast and culminates with their annual Toys For Tots Celebration in New Haven followed by a New Year's Run in Buffalo NY, Chicago IL and Covington KY.

Tuomo & Markus is a new musical project from acclaimed Finnish soul/jazz artist Tuomo Prättälä and singer/songwriter Markus Nordenstreng of The Latebirds. The duo’s music has been described as Nordic Americana and neo folk with distinct jazz, soul and prog-rock influences. Their haunting harmonies complement each other much like in the cases of Simon & Garfunkel or Crosby Stills Nash.

The String Cheese Incident (SCI) returns to Colorado for their annual New Year’s Eve run of shows, this year kicking off a yearlong celebration of the band’s prolific 25-year career. The always highly anticipated event, which takes place at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, CO on December 28th, 29th and 31st, will feature a stacked list of special guest musicians, the first ever “Land’s End Museum” displaying a historical capsule of 25 years of SCI, and of course, the band’s signature New Year’s Eve production spectacle.

Eclipsing 2850 live performances on their recent Fall Tour, Dark Star Orchestra has announced another slew of dates for 2019. Focusing on the American Southeast, the tour has the band performing five shows in Florida before weaving north and hitting key spots in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina & Alabama. The spring tour punctuates the band’s 2019 plans even further.

Dead On Live, a multi-instrumentalist Grateful Dead cover band will perform at The Capitol Theatre on Friday, December 14th. This impressive cast of world class musicians is working with Asbury Audio to recreate a modern-day, monster sound system based on the Dead's historic Wall of Sound and are among a group that are turning to the sounds and styles of the world’s most freewheeling band (Noisey).

After taking a brief hiatus from touring to compose film scores for the Woodstock Film Festival selected documentary, Catskill Park as well as HBO’s I Wanna See You and Call to Action, Anthony, now 34, sees the world through a more focused lens. “Scoring was invaluable to my evolution as a songwriter,” he says, “but I grew to miss telling my own stories.”

The 10th annual California Roots Music and Arts Festival has announced their second round of artists. Joining an already impressive lineup are scene favorites Rebelution, Dirty Heads, Pepper, Collie Buddz, The Green, and Alborosie. Making their debuts at the event are Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, UB40 feat. Ali & Astro, Kabaka Pyramid, The Elovaters, and Roots of a Rebellion. Also a special Matisyahu set performing the set list from his classic Live at Stubbs album rounds out the announcement.
