Craft Recordings’ 60th anniversary special reissues for Burnin’, the electrifying blues album from John Lee Hooker, are out today. The albums include the original recording of Hooker’s highly influential signature hit “Boom Boom” and feature members of the legendary Funk Brothers (Motown Records’ celebrated house band).

As moe. prepares for a 2-night run at Albany’s Palace Theatre beginning tonight (2/24), coinciding with the fifth annual “moe.day,” the city has announced that it is temporarily renaming N. Pearl, the street on which the Palace Theatre stands, to moe.street, effective immediately. The decision honors the deep ties between moe. and the City of Albany, which began with the band’s early days living together on Central Avenue in the ‘90s.
