Songwriter, folksinger, and multi-instrumentalist, Ashleigh Caudill, to release first volume in new digital series. This collection will feature her original works in various styles starting out on her beloved home turf, bluegrass.

After her third record, Looney Bird, took flight in early 2016, Caudill wasted no time getting back into the studio to record a fresh new crop of tunes. Along with her signature sweet vocals, clawhammer banjo, and steady upright bass playing the recording features GRAMMY-nominated mandolinist, Jenni Lyn Gardner, banjo master, Kyle Tuttle, Jake Stargel’s fiery flatpicking, the fine fiddling of John Mailander with guest appearances by Alan Bartram (The Del McCoury Band) and Molly Tuttle! It was tracked live and all in one room at Sound Wave Studio by Daniel Rice.

The Berklee College of Music Alumni has played with countless artists including Angaleena Presley (Pistol Annies) and bluegrass icon, Charlie Sizemore. Rapidly gaining recognition for her success in songwriting, Ashleigh’s original work has been recorded by artists that include Jim Hurst, Balsam Range, Close Kin, Darren Nicholson and more. Her gospel chart topper, “Row By Row,” was featured on Balsam Range’s 2013 International Bluegrass Music Association’s album of the year.

With this fine selection of tunes backed by Nashville’s A-team of young bluegrass pickers Caudill’s roots are certainly showing. Winter Blues will be released on June 9th, 2017.
