The inaugural Campfest, a three-day celebration that revives the excitement and nostalgia of childhood summer camp, will be held September 18th to 20th at beautiful Camp Blue Ridge, nestled within 250 acres of the Blue Ridge Mountains and within two hours of Atlanta and Asheville. Campfest provides a multitude of outdoor recreational activities and competitions alongside top-notch musical performances.

In addition to headliners Cold War Kids and Hey Rosetta! as well as Langhorne Slim and The Whigs, Campfest is proud to welcome Margo and the Pricetags, Alanna Royale, Roadkill Ghost Choir, Brushfire Stankgrass, Family and Friends, Hardy and the Hard Knocks, City Mouse and Nikki Talley to the lineup.

Campfest is a dream come true for both competitors and fun lovers. Everything…literally everything, wins you points: from buying a beer, running the 5K, best belly flop, winning the cabin decorating contest, best costume at the Costume kickball tournament to taking a nap in a hammock. So, what’s the point of all these points? You can become the King or Queen of Campfest. The two people with the most points by Sunday’s Bluegrass Brunch will be crowned- an honor no other festival knows. An award ceremony on the Main Stage on Sunday will honor all winners of all activities. All currently scheduled Campfest activities can be found at bit.ly/1FLzDiJ. Even if attendees don’t win a single point (which is pretty much impossible), they’ll have a hell of a fun time watching the absurdity unfold.

Three-day event passes are on sale now at bit.ly/1zeQvCf for $89, and VIP tickets are priced at $250. All guests that wish to stay onsite must either purchase a $75 camping pass for either Beach or Field of Dreams camping or a cabin pass starting as low as $150 per person in addition to an event pass. Attendees can either purchase a single cabin ticket in a communal cabin or bunk up with up to 18 friends. Tickets for The Lodge, the epitome of camp luxury, include a private room with full sized bed, Happy Camper lounge with fireplace, VIP admission for 2 to the festival and tons of snacks and goodies. Lodge rooms with a private bathroom are $1500 and with a shared bathroom are $1200.

Attendees are encouraged to join the Campfest mailing list at bit.ly/1zeQvCf for a chance to win a pair of free event passes.
