The prolific and celebrated electronic music pioneer JEAN-MICHEL JARRE--a four-time Guinness World Record holder for largest concerts ever performed, 2017 Grammy nominee, with more than eighty million albums sold, and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador renowned for his one-off groundbreaking events at historical landmarks across the world--takes his next once-in-a-lifetime live performance to the Dead Sea in Israel on Thursday, April 6.

Following his Millennium Concert at the Pyramids of Gizeh in Egypt in front of an audience of 800 thousand people, the Concert for Tolerance at the Eiffel Tower in Paris with 2.5 million people in the audience, Rendez-Vous Houston-his tribute concert in Texas for NASA with 1.3 million people attending, and celebrating the 850th anniversary of Moscow with his largest concert ever in front of 3.5 million people, JEAN-MICHEL JARRE chose his upcoming destination to be MASADA where his unique and specially conceived live event aims to raise international awareness of the Dead Sea's dire situation.

Mr. Dov Litvinoff, head of the Tamar Regional Council where the Dead Sea is located, states, "The choice of an artist of this caliber, with such a flawless worldwide reputation in giving some of the world's most spectacular concert-events, to create and to hold a one-off concert here in Israel, at the Dead Sea, to raise mass public awareness, is unprecedented and exciting. The fact that such artist recognizes the importance and expresses a sincere concern for the dire situation of the Dead Sea by coming here to help promote this issue internationally is extremely appreciated. A UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador of ecology and the environment, Jean-Michel Jarre brings with him a patronage of UNESCO organization and a call for urgent actions. This empowering act of support is crucial and may very well help us save this national and international asset, one of the world's natural wonders - the Dead Sea."

The MASADA historical site will transform for one single night to encapsulate a futuristic ambience, introducing a most complex state-of-the-art production devised to transport the audience for what promises to be an unforgettable experience. The stage will be set at the center of the mountainous landscape in front of a luxury amphitheater--built to accommodate well-equipped and comfortable seating, along with dancing platforms.

Grammy-nominated artist and French electronic music composer and producer JEAN-MICHEL JARRE's reputation for the spectacular is unmatched, having been one of the first artists in the world to perform electronic music as we know it today.  This May, JARRE will bring his 'Electronica' World Tour to North America, marking his first-time tour here.  The North American leg of the World Tour will kick off Tuesday, May 9 at the Sony Center for Performing Arts in Toronto, Canada.

After Toronto, JARRE will bring his critically-acclaimed live show--which blazed across the European continent last year, to high-acclaim--to many hallmark venues on this continent including Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Bell Centre in Montreal, The Greek in Berkeley, Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and more.  All dates follow below.

Famed for staggering visuals and the use of cutting-edge digital technology, JARRE's new live show promises yet again to be a truly immersive musical journey. He'll showcase brand new music from his two-part LP ELECTRONICA and most recent release OXYGENE 3, alongside classic material from milestone albums such as Oxygene and Equinoxe.  View a video here of JARRE performing his signature laser harp "The Time Machine," the title track of his Grammy-nominated album ("Best Dance/Electronic Album"), ELECTRONICA 1: THE TIME MACHINE: https://youtu.be/DnAfXK-hft8
