Sweltering husband-wife duo (and a drummer!), Year Of October, are excited to release their 3rd studio album, Trouble Comes, on Halloween exclusively via AXS. The album is in the spirit of Halloween, with tracks like “Watch It Burn” and its gloomy rhythm, fuzzy guitar sounds, and ominous vocals. Trouble Comes is a showcase of Year Of October’s unique, edgy, soul-rock sound. “We like to take influences from all genres of music,” said Phlecia to AXS. Hailing from Nashville, Year Of October boasts a Nashville-rock vibe, but in their own grungy way.

Following the release of their critically acclaimed 2nd album Golden Days, the singer-guitarist duo, Phlecia and Josh, toured throughout Tennessee, Kentucky, and the South. They have built up a loyal fan-base, and have received raving media attention from outlets like No Depression, PRX.org, Country Fried Rock, and Guitar World. The release of their second single off Trouble Comes falls on Halloween.  Trouble Comes is a groovy, distortion-laced album that teeters between aggressive and soulful. Phlecia said of the new project, “We find inspiration in everything and I think if something is good then it doesn’t necessarily have to sound just like us to be a major influence.”
