Second Pressing. Each LP is pressed onto 180g audiophile grade vinyl created from the original stereo master reels with lacquers cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Includes a free MP3 download of the entire album (transferred from the new vinyl master). First pressing originally released on Record Store Day. This second pressing IS NOT foil stamped.Junta was recorded at Euphoria Sound Studios in Revere, Massachusetts in 1987 and 1988 on 16-track 2" tape and was mixed to 1/4" stereo reels.
Three weeks ago Kung Fu’s dear friend Kevin Shea was struck by a drunk driver, and today he lies in a coma with his wife Cecelia and children Jack and Vanessa waiting patiently by his side. On Friday, August 23rd, the band is holding a concert at Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT to celebrate his fighting spirit and to raise money for his family.

James Booker coined more than a few extravagant nicknames for himself, and he lived up to every one of them.James Carroll Booker III was also an unheralded genius of American music, a New Orleans pianist whose dizzying technique and mastery of the keyboard was matched only by his imagination and his soulfulness.
Pelagic Zone is a Germany-based jam band reflecting an improvisational style built on the roots of original instrumental jams. Pelagic is a Grecian word describing the open sea, far from the coast and sea floor. This can be interrupted in their musical style, floating free and open with plenty of room for surprises and improvisations. This creative group made up of four talented artists spent over two and a half years creating the entire album.
Featuring contributions from Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros along with nine up-and-coming U.S. bands across diverse genres, BEATLES REIMAGINED commemorates the 50th anniversary of the recording and release of Beatles tracks from 1963-4, including “From Me To You,” “She Loves You” and “I Saw Her Standing There” which cemented the band’s status as rock and roll royalty.
“The picture on the cover, that’s Broadway in Baltimore, maybe back around the time I started playing in the clubs,” Del McCoury says with a smile.
