Albert Castiglia [pronounced ka - steel - ya] was born in New York and raised in Miami since he was 5. He started taking guitar lessons at the age of 12. He found a passion for playing the guitar and has been perfecting his craft ever since.
Castiglia got his first big break when legendary harmonica player Junior Wells heard him play and sing. Castiglia was able to travel with Wells on several world tours.
Castiglia has shared the stage over the years with artist such as Larry McCray, Eddy “The Chief” Clearwater, Billy Boy Arnold and many more.

My first introduction to The Hip Abduction (“THA”) was in review of their upcoming release Gold Under the Glow (ILS Group/Caroline/Universal), and immediately I was taken in by the infectious grooves and catchy vocals the septet from the Gulf Coast of South Florida offer. In Handmade Moments’ second album, Eye in the Sky, you’ll find a wonderful array of classy beatboxing, great rhythms and a smattering of political commentary. The beatboxing acts as a subtle foundation for their melodies. Their rhythms are interlinked between South and Central American sounds, classic bluegrass and modern folk with a few twinges of slide guitar. And the commentary – it’s subtle as well.
