Bob Weir

As the life and times of Grateful Dead cofounder Bob Weir eclipsed 75 years, The Warfield Theatre in San Francisco played host to three performances on October 14 to 16 to what is now called Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros Featuring The Wolfpack.

This week, the digital fan engagement platform / livestreamer Mandolin hosted "You Got Gold: Celebrating the Life and Songs of John Prine," a series of tribute concerts honoring the late country-folk icon.

Streamed from three different locations in Nashville, the five night event featured a surprise lineup of 70 artists including Brandi Carlile, Lucius, Keb Mo, Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price, Bonnie Raitt, Bobby Weir and Dwight Yoakam.

Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros, consisting of Bobby Weir, Don Was, Jay Lane and Jeff Chimenti—today release their highly anticipated second vinyl collection of recorded material, Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros: Live in Colorado Vol. 2. Listen/purchase HERE.

Prior to release the band shared “The Other One” and “Ripple.”

DEAD & COMPANY is launching its 2023 summer tour on Friday, May 19th and Saturday, May 20th in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum with dates running through Friday, July 14th and Saturday, July 15th when the tour ends in San Francisco at Oracle Park.  The band - Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, John Mayer, and Bob Weir, with Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti – will perform two sets of music drawing from the Grateful Dead’s historic catalog of songs.

Bobby Weir celebrated the 50th anniversary of his solo debut, Ace, on stage in April with two special shows at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. On both nights, he performed the entire album live with his group Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros featuring The Wolfpack, a string and brass quintet, pedal steel player Barry Sless, and special guests Tyler Childers and Brittney Spencer. One of those performances will be released early next year in a special edition of Ace that also includes a remastered new mix of the original album.

At this point, the Grateful Dead family of musicians has become so large that it’s easy to miss many of its component parts. So many of the fabulous artists that make up the backdrop of our glorious musical bloom get overlooked by the simple adage, “So much good music, so little time.” Yet despite what we Deadheads might miss in the plethora of it all, Bob Weir doesn’t.

There will be dancing in the aisles once again as the Grateful Dead return to cinemas worldwide for the 2022 Meet-Up At The Movies!

This year, we’re celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Europe ‘72, by bringing the previously unreleased Tivoli Concert Hall, 4/17/72 performance to the big screen on Tuesday, November 1st with additional screenings across the U.S., Canada, and select territories on Saturday, November 5th.

Today, Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros—consisting of Bobby Weir, Don Was, Jay Lane and Jeff Chimenti—unveil “The Other One” from the forthcoming Live in Colorado Vol 2. Listen/share HERE.

Their second vinyl collection of recorded material, Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros: Live in Colorado Vol. 2, is set for release on October 7 on Third Man Records. Pre-order/pre-save HERE.
