Electric Forest Festival
Today, Electric Forest (EF) announced the return of the 8th annual music and camping festival to the legendary Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan - hosting two distinct weekends for the second year in a row, on June 21-24 and June 28-July 1, 2018. In conjunction with the announcement, Electric Forest unveiled a new fan participation initiative - The EF Wish Machine – encouraging the Forest Family to spread positivity, and offering the greatest evidence yet that Forest dreams really do come true.
Inside the Double JJ ranch for two consecutive weekends, a magical Electric Forest of paradise awaits within this daily grind of purgatory we walk. Over 40,000 humans come together for the love of music and art and put the real world on hold for a weekend or two if you are one of the lucky ones that can put the real world on hold for two weeks. The spirit of unity abounds as every heart vibrates with trust that this is going to be a good weekend.
The 7th annual Electric Forest (EF) festival wrapped its second of two magical weekends in the beautiful forest of Rothbury, Michigan, welcoming fans for an additional four days and nights of camping, live music, incredible art installations and the magic of the enchanted Sherwood Forest.
Why would a hippie drown themselves in a sea of hipsters and EDM? If you enjoy Phish, Dead & Co, Greensky Bluegrass, and the like, what would the appeal of Electric Forest be you ask? The miles of music listed on the bill are obscure and barely heard of bands to an aging hippie. Are they even bands? These are questions you may ask yourself while looking at the ticket price. I understand, and in response, I offer you these five counter-arguments for your consideration.
On this opening day of Electric Forest 2017, we would like to welcome you to the 7th annual music and camping experience of a lifetime. We are so glad that you are here with us. As we step into this journey together, we’d like to highlight a few of Electric Forest’s community-spirited activations happening this weekend, including EF’s annual Roy Price Memorial Food Drive and EF’s Music In Schools Program. Also this year, we are celebrating the life of Forest Family member Wally Wojack.
