My Morning Jacket have released the second installment in their MMJ LIVE vinyl series, MMJ LIVE VOL. 2: CHICAGO 2021 both digitally and on 3LP translucent orange vinyl (with triple gatefold jacket and digital download card). My Morning Jacket has announced today’s digital release of LIVE FROM RCA STUDIO A (ACOUSTIC), available now at all DSPs and streaming services. Originally released earlier this year as a Record Store Day vinyl exclusive, the release collects seven tracks from last year’s acclaimed MY MORNING JACKET, recorded solo by frontman Jim James at the famed RCA Studios in Nashville.

In conjunction with RSD Black Friday, RTM—the worldwide leader in reel-to-reel tape manufacturing—and ThinkIndie Distribution are reissuing a series of critically acclaimed albums on cassette for the first time ever. Alanis Morissette’ Such Pretty Forks in the Road and Giovannie and the Hired Guns’ Bad Habits will make their debut on cassette, along with My Morning Jacket’s much beloved Holiday offering, My Morning Jacket Does Xmas Fiasco Style.

Psychedelic rock juggernauts Futurebirds reunited with guitarist/producer Carl Broemel from My Morning Jacket on their new EP, Bloomin’ Too. Today, they are releasing their first single, “Buffet Days” off the seven-track EP, which is coming September 9th on No Coincidence Records

Jim James has announced the release of Regions of Light and Sound of God (Deluxe Reissue), a newly expanded edition of his landmark 2013 debut solo album available via ATO Records on Friday, July 29.

Last night, Jim James of My Morning Jacket performed a solo acoustic version of "In Color" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The performance was filmed at the famed RCA Studio A in Nashville, TN by Danny Clinch. "In Color" is the current single from My Morning Jacket's critically acclaimed self-titled album from 2021. MY MORNING JACKET was produced and engineered by Jim James over two multi-week sessions at Los Angeles, CA’s 64 Sound.

My Morning Jacket has unveiled plans for an upcoming US headline tour. The dates begin April 19 at Memphis, TN’s Orpheum Theatre and then continue through September. Special guests throughout the tour will include Madison Cunningham, Indigo de Souza, and Joy Oladokun.

MY MORNING JACKET

I drove down to Live Oak, Florida the Thursday before last with a close friend, for what was their third Hulaween experience and my very first one. My friend cautioned me at one point: “I wouldn’t tell people this is your first Hulaween.” That made sense at the time, considering much of Hulaween’s attendance were probably loyal returning patrons, who were in the know about what this place and weekend are like (and there’s something to be said for that). But now looking back, I think: why not?
