These are the tall tales told by campfire light, under the moon just slight, and peppered with lasers dancing overhead.  The scissor-like sidestep from reality, Summer Camp sizzled brighter than ever this year. There was Pigeons Playing Ping Pong with a rainbow net, a revival of the old 1992 hip-hop days, and a field full of living flowers being watered by the sun.  2018’s installment of Summer Camp had musical notes formed by clouds for miles.

Come one, come all! On August 1st, we'll be bringing the boogie back to your favorite local moving picture house for the 8th Annual Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies. This year's special cinema event is the full concert from July 7, 1989 at Philadelphia’s John F. Kennedy Stadium.

Welcome back to Summer Camp!  This year promises to deliver big name acts as well as local heroes. Some of the most memorable collaborations of the past have primed us for this year’s fest. Not only does the 17th annual Summer Camp Music Festival feature 2 nights of Moe. and Umphrey’s McGee but 2018 will bring Phil Lesh & the Terrapin Family Band as well as Los Lobos, Greensky Bluegrass, and Leftover Salmon.

Higher Ground is pleased to welcome Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band to Burlington's Waterfront Park as part of Lake Champlain Maritime Festival on July 26. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 18 at 11am.

Like so many other musical endeavors that Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead has been a part of, the Terrapin Family Band grew naturally and spontaneously out of something special. 

MJG Productions presents the 5th Annual Revival Music Festival at Harmony Park Music Garden in Clarks Grove, MN. The festival will take place May 26+27 with a pre-party featuring Leftover Salmon on May 25th and an Early Camping Option available May 24th.

“This is one the most thrilling albums the Grateful Dead ever produced, mixing portions of live recordings from the first six months of Mickey's tenure with the band, along with studio experimentations that would hint at where the Dead would go when they started recording to 16-track tape the following year. The 1971 remix, produced in order to make the album more accessible to the newer fans who were brought on board with WORKINGMAN'S DEAD and AMERICAN BEAUTY, has been the most commonly heard version for the past 45+ years.

Mood and muse, two inexplicably intertwined elements of an ethereal nature, yet their power to move both body and mind know no bounds.  Flowing throughout the in-between like gravity and wind, these forces are foundational and creative to the many worlds that arise out of the relationship of things, out of the happenings originated by togetherness; a place born betwixt seed and light, lung and tree, heart and rhythm, a place where all things come together to form each thing (each moment) throughout all size and time.  And where all things come together—so too, does mood and muse.<
