As we await the joyous return of live music at Preservation Hall, please join us for 'Round Midnight Preserves – a two-night virtual concert and fundraiser streaming live from 726 St. Peter street, with special guests Durand Jones and Ivan Neville.

Donations made during both nightly streams will support the Preservation Hall Foundation and our efforts to protect, preserve and perpetuate New Orleans music and culture.

From musical conversations with esteemed honorees to intimate performances with Charlie Gabriel, Ben Jaffe and Rickie Monie, this year's virtual ceremony honoring the six 2020 Preservation Hall Foundation Legacy Program inductees was truly one for the books.

Six incredible Preservation Hall musicians will be honored as Master Practitioners and inducted into the Preservation Hall Foundation Legacy Program during the fourth annual Legacy Awards later this month! We hope you’ll join us for a virtual musical celebration, live from the Preservation Hall Jazz Band Youtube, on Wednesday, October 28 at 7 PM CT.

The doors at Preservation Hall are closed for the foreseeable future, and our 60-member musical collective, like everyone else, is facing uncertainty. To address these challenges moving forward, the Preservation Hall Foundation is focusing its attention towards caring for our musicians and helping these master practitioners weather this crisis.

Earlier this month, Pickathon, the four-day music festival, took place at Pendarvis Farm, near Portland, Oregon. The event, which began in 1998 as a bluegrass festival, has since expanded to include folk, jam band, metal and indie artists.

Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats brought their vintage rock and neo-soul show to the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans on May 3rd and 4th for a pair of spectacular double bill shows that coincided with the second weekend of city’s famed Jazz Fest.  Each night featured a different group of legendary Crescent City musicians opening the show.

The first of three in the charity concert series presents Manchester Orchestra, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Phillip Phillips on May 13, 2018 at Breckenridge Brewery in Littleton, CO. Ticket proceeds benefit 1 Million 4 Anna Foundation, which helps fight the battle to eradicate Ewing Sarcoma, a bone and soft tissue cancer primarily in children and young adults.

Preservation Hall's 14th Annual Midnight Preserves series welcomes prominent artists from a variety of genres alongside the Preservation Hall Collective for intimate midnight concerts within the walls of our hallowed venue in the heart of the French Quarter. Past guests have included Jon Batiste, Shovels and Rope, Sharon Jones, Alabama Shakes, Robert Plant, Al Jarreau, Charlie Musselwhite, The Del McCoury Band, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Givers, The Lone Bellow, Ernan Lopez-Nussa and dozens more.

Today, Preservation Hall Jazz Band announces the release of our their album, So It Is, featuring all-new original music, out April 21st! “So It Is” finds the classic PHJB sound invigorated by a number of fresh influences, not least among them our 2015 life-changing trip to Cuba.
