In the spirit of safely enjoying the medicinal magic of the live music experience, Joshua Tree Music Festival is thrilled to host a series of outdoor shows this spring. Dobro, mandolin, guitar, musical exaltations and vocal flourishes – and much more – lilted through the autumn-painted trees and into the ears and souls of some colorful attendees at the fairgrounds in the Sierra Nevada foothill town of Placerville, California, at the ninth annual Hangtown Music Festival (formerly the Hangtown Halloween Ball).

Singer-songwriter Daniel Rodriguez releases of his debut collection of music as a solo artist on a five-song EP titled, Your Heart The Stars The Milky Way. Rodriguez speaks of these new songs being his emotional response to the end of a 14-year relationship with a bandmate in Elephant Revival, a transcendental folk band who 5280 Magazine describes as “a pioneer and mainstay of the Colorado music scene” and who has since announced its hiatus.

“Steve Poltz is not normal.” Self-proclaimed “Post Stroke Deadhead” –you’ll hear that story and many more. A child at heart, Poltz falls in with the ‘hipsters’ and ‘oldsters’. His music is so captivating that it transcends generations. A mix of singing, storytelling, shredding, and spoken word taking the audience from laughter to tears and back again. He co-wrote "You Were Meant For Me" with platinum-selling songwriter Jewel. Poltz transcends the word "talented. He’s unforgettable in all the right ways.
