TAUK
TAUK recently released the Shapeshifter I: Construct EP and have been on tour all month in support of the release. Today the expansive instrumental quartet releases a live video of "Malware", recorded by Tim McG Photo at The Fineline in Minneapolis at the top of the run.
In mythology, folklore and speculative fiction, shapeshifting is the ability of a being or creature to completely transform its physical form or shape. In the world of music, the verb can be applied in a similar context, particularly to one New York powerhouse funk quartet. Enter TAUK, a mind-melting, constantly moving, an ever-evolving force of nature that has taken the jam community by storm with their complex time signatures and catchy, melodic grooves.
Fresh off the release of their Shapeshifter 1: Construct EP and riding a train hell-bent on metamorphosis, New York’s mesmerizing instrumental quartet TAUK took over Denver’s Ogden Theatre this past weekend, showcasing their unique ability to blend elements of jazz, rock, and funk to captivate the minds of audiences across the country.
The Oyster Bay, New York-bred rock-fusion four-piece, TAUK, debuted a new track "Premises" on Mar. 14 via SiriusXM's Jam On, and have announced a 2018 spring tour in support of their new EP Shapeshifter I: Construct out April 6. On the EP, TAUK tap into their singular chemistry to elevate and expand their all-instrumental blend of funk, hip-hop, progressive rock, and jazz and offer a hint of what is to come from a full length album this fall.

Monophonics will join ALO for Seattle and Portland, and TAUK will help close out the tour, and Fillmore weekend on the Saturday night in San Francisco.
Instrumental rock-fusion quartet TAUK have confirmed a grand finale to their Fall US Tour. 2017 will come to a close with 2 shows at Charleston, SC’s Pour House, and one night at Atlanta, GA’s Variety Playhouse. The current fall tour comes after a successful summer run of festival shows at Electric Forest, LOHI Music Festival, FloydFest and many more. Support acts for the NYE run, and the band’s hometown TAUKsgiving show will be announced shortly. Tickets to the New Years’ run will be available this Friday at 10 am EST.

Sitting in your favorite outdoor chair, contemplating which is sweeter: The valley breeze lifting off the river to cool your brow, or the soul soothing sounds of an epic summer festival line up. Either way, you’ve decided that you feel more at home than you ever have…”
That’s the sensation I felt last year while doing all of my favorite things, together at once, while also being a good steward of the earth. To me, that’s what Homegrown on the River is all about.
