Yonder Mountain String Band

After nearly a quarter century of making music together, Colorado jam-grass vets Yonder Mountain String Band are showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, with their new album Get Yourself Outside due out in February and a slew of tour dates on the books—their first full tour with new member, mandolinist Nick Piccininni—YMSB are as inspired and energized as ever.

The inaugural WWG in 2013 began in the parking lot of Crazy Mountain Brewery in Edwards, Colorado and has since grown to a multi-state, multi-genre extravaganza. WinterWonderGrass has cemented it’s place in music festival folklore. With locations in Colorado, California, and Vermont and attracting music fans from all over the country this festival not only provides the infrastructure for world class music ranging from bluegrass, roots, folk and much more, it also provides world class skiing and riding at each location.

Coming up on their 25th anniversary as a band, Colorado jam-grass pioneers Yonder Mountain String Band continue to innovate and evolve, and on February 25th, 2022, will unveil Get Yourself Outside—their first studio album with new member, mandolinist Nick Piccininni. “Nick is an incredibly talented multi-instrumentalist. He’s also a great singer with a magnetic stage presence,” says YMSB guitarist and co-founder Adam Aijala.

On November 20th, jamgrass instigators Yonder Mountain String Band made their way to the north country in Colorado for the final night of their extensive 5 week, twenty-three show, cross country fall tour. As expected, the quintet gave it their all to the regional Kinfolk, delivering a fantastic two-set throw down to a sold-out crowd at Washington’s in Fort Collins.

Hot on the heels of the 20th-anniversary celebration of their incredibly popular and influential 2nd  studio album, Town by Town, Colorado’s beloved jam-grass pioneers Yonder Mountain String Band have just announced their tour plans for 2022. Kicking things off at Denver’s newly-opened and incredibly popular Meow Wolf Convergence Station on February 24th for a one-of-a-kind immersive music and art experience, the veteran band will continue into the Winter Wondergrass festival in Steamboat, Colorado.

Falling a few weeks ahead of their 2021 Fall Tour, September 27th, 2021, marked the 20th Anniversary of award-winning Colorado bluegrass luminaries Yonder Mountain String Band’s incredibly popular and influential 2nd  studio album, Town by Town. To celebrate, YMSB has just announced a 20th-anniversary re-release of this modern classic on 180g double vinyl.

Today, Bonfire Entertainment is excited to announce the return of WinterWonderGrass Colorado, taking place February 25–27, 2022 at Steamboat Resort in the historic and pristinely beautiful ski town of Steamboat Springs, CO. The Mishawaka Amphitheater is a mystical place that lies somewhere between a state highway and a river in northern Colorado. It is one of those venues that most have heard of, even seen pictures of, but surprisingly, many in the region still remark that they have not set foot on its storied grounds. For others, this is a dynamic they would like to keep in place for fear that the secret will get out and future events and tickets would be more difficult to secure than they often already are.

With the music industry’s march towards safe gatherings, organizers for the 4848 Festival announce the artist lineup cementing plans for a return atop Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia this year on Labor Day weekend.  4848 Festival will follow current WV state guidelines and will go on-sale with a limited capacity.

All previously purchased tickets and room packages will be honored for the new dates and 2021 tickets and room packages will go on sale Friday, May 21 at 10 AM ET.
