Held in the beautiful Manistee National Forest on August 19-21, the 13th annual Hoxeyville Music Festival is pleased to announce headlining performances from Michigan’s own Greensky Bluegrass and Luke Winslow-King, along with touring favorite Railroad Earth. Celebrating the wild wonder that is Michigan’s North Country, Hoxeyville Music Festival promises attendees of all ages an event like no other with some of the region and country’s most talented roots-driven musicians.

Tireless road warriors, Greensky Bluegrass has erupted in recent years as one of the most sought after acts in the genre, garnering fans on its non-stop, cross-country touring of theaters, clubs and festivals. Since their founding in 2000, Greensky has fashioned a dynamic, intoxicating sound rooted in classic string band Americana while branching outward to effortlessly encompass an array of styles and techniques.

Railroad Earth fiddler/vocalist Tim Carbone points out, “We use unique acoustic instrumentation, but we’re definitely not a bluegrass or country band, which sometimes leaves music writers confused as to how to categorize us. We’re essentially playing rock on acoustic instruments.”

Luke Winslow-King plays the sound of rickety wooden porches on humid summer days, the grimy streets of New Orleans beyond the French Quarter - a charmingly disarming amalgam of early 20th century jazz, Delta blues, American folksong, and Southern gospel.

The initial lineup of artists confirmed for this year’s event include:
