Dee Jay Silver To Release First Single

Merriam-Webster simply defines the word groundbreaking as "introducing new ideas or methods," so it's no surprise that DEE JAY SILVER is commonly described as such. The DJ/remixer/producer was the first (and only) DJ to be signed to a major Nashville record label, RCA Nashville/Sony Music, and the first DJ to ever play the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs) and the American Country Awards (ACAs). The open-format performer has thrilled millions for the past 15 years with his unique ability to blend all types of music from hip-hop and rock to house and country for crowds of all sizes.

On Friday, July 15, DEE JAY SILVER adds another first to his impressive list of accolades when his first original single "Just Got Paid" is released digitally via iTunes and across streaming platforms. This infectious ode to the weekend features vocals from indie singer-songwriter Austin Webb, who co-wrote the song with SILVER in their adopted hometown of Nashville. The rhythmic country song also represents another innovation as DEE JAY SILVER is the first DJ to release an original single in the country format, similar to the likes of Calvin Harris, The Chainsmokers, Tiesto and many of EDM's top acts who crossed over from remixes and mash-ups to releasing original tracks with vocalists.

"Just Got Paid" first debuted to tens of thousands of fans during SILVER's sets at Chicago's Country LakeShake Festival June 17-19. The single made its radio debut June 25 on SiriusXM's The Highway as a featured track on their "On The Horizon" new music and artist discovery show, hosted by Buzz Brainard. Also on the radio front, "Just Got Paid" was featured on SILVER's own nationally syndicated country radio show "The Country Club with Dee Jay Silver" this past weekend (7/1-7/2). The weekly show-heard on almost 80 stations on Friday and Saturday nights, including some of the leading country and iHeartMedia radio stations throughout the U.S.-features up-tempo mixes and mash-ups of hits from country music's biggest stars and newcomers, with an infusion of unique rhythms as well as tracks from other genres.

The non-stop DJ heads back to Las Vegas this weekend following his appearances over the July 4th holiday at the Rehab Pool at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (7/1) and the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay (7/2), as part of his monthly residencies at each venue. On Friday, July 8, SILVER returns to Rehab, voted the #1 "Best Hotel Pool" (as voted in USA Today's "10Best Readers' Choice" contest in June 2015), and Saturday, July 9 will appear at the Plaza Hotel Pool downtown. SILVER recently chatted with the Las Vegas Review Journal--which noted that "Just Got Paid" "has huge crossover appeal"--in advance of his Vegas appearances; read the story "Country music has caught up to Dee Jay Silver" HERE.

SILVER then heads to San Diego to perform at Petco Park for the MLB All-Star Game before returning to the road July 14 with good friend Jason Aldean on the "Six String Circus Tour" to entertain the crowds between sets by Aldean, Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses. The year-long outing with Aldean makes a special stop in Boston September 9 and 10 when DEE JAY SILVER joins Jason Aldean and Kid Rock for back-to-back shows at Fenway Park. Throughout the remainder of the tour, SILVER also performs select headlining shows, including September 9 at Boston's Greatest Bar, and appears at the Faster Horses Country Music Festival and Watershed Music Festival. He'll wrap the year in Las Vegas at the National Finals Rodeo December 1-10. See below for full list of upcoming dates and go to www.deejaysilver.com/tour for more information.
