At 21-years-old, Griffin Oskar packed his bags, grabbed his guitar, and moved from Portland to Los Angeles where he wrote a song called "Hostage, which he uploaded to Soundcloud under the pseudonym Småland (a small village in Sweden where his dad is from). Soon after, a Swedish producer, Danrell heard the song and reached out to do a remix. The remix became an unstoppable online smash and brought Oskar into the spotlight where he’s bound to stay.
