Julian Marley will join brothers Stephen, Ziggy, Damian & Ky-Mani @ Kaya Fest

Julian Marley will join his brothers Stephen, Ziggy, Damian and Ky-Mani in a historic performance for first time in more than 20 years at the first ever Kaya Fest.  Produced by eight-time Grammy award-winner, singer, songwriter, musician producer and son of legend Bob Marley, Stephen Marley, the Kaya Fest will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Bayfront Park Amphitheatre, 301 Biscayne Blvd. in downtown Miami.

“My Father was at the forefront of the movement to educate people about the benefits of Cannabis,” says Stephen Marley, son of Bob Marley and Producer of Kaya Fest. “Its good to see that change is finally coming.”

Julian Marley is a globally renowned artist that is also a devout Rastafarian whose music is inspired by life and spirituality.  He has built a formidable reputation by transcending musical genres, and strives to produce music that is spiritual, moral and with a global mission.

In addition to the headlining performance by the Marley brothers, there will be a special appearances by Ms. Lauryn Hill, Grammy award-winning Jamaican international superstar Sean Paul, Grammy award-winning Hip-Hop legend Wyclef Jean and legendary Jamaican Reggae group Inner Circle, along with popular break out performers Skip Marley, Jo Mersa Marley and Shacia Payne.

The purpose of the Kaya Fest is to educate people to the many uses of the cannabis plant as well as to inspire and encourage positive public awareness especially since more and more states are approving the use of medical marijuana, such as Florida where it just became legal this past year. Kaya Fest is a cutting edge and positive event which promotes education, raising consciousness and spreading unity.

To this end Kaya Fest will also be hosting a special Free Symposium titled “Education Before Recreation.” It will feature a panel of experts who are on the forefront of education and regulation in the state of Florida.  The Symposium will be discussing the many uses of the Cannabis plant as well as the new Florida laws relating to it.  It will be held on Friday, April 21st from Noon to 4PM at the Miami History Museum, 101 West Flagler Street in Downtown Miami.  It is co-sponsored by NORML of Florida.
