JD & The Straight Shot To Open for The Eagles in Atlantic City

The NYC blues-rock band, JD & The Straight Shot, announced today it will open for The Eagles at Revel Ovation Hall in Atlantic City, NJ on Saturday, September 1st and Sunday, September 2nd.

JD & The Straight Shot just released a new album entitled Midnight Run on July 24th. Midnight Run was created by lead vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Jim Dolan, along with Grammy Award-winning producer Kevin Killen (U2, Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello).  The album features a backing band composed of some of the hottest session players in New York, including: drummers Charlie Drayton (Keith Richards, Fiona Apple, Herbie Hancock) and Shawn Pelton (Saturday Night Live band); guitarists Adam Levy (Norah Jones, Tracy Chapman) and Marc Copely (B.B. King, Bono); bassist Zev Katz (Roxy Music, Dolly Parton); keyboardist Brian Mitchell (Bob Dylan, Levon Helm); and violinist Lorenza Ponce (Sheryl Crow, Jon Bon Jovi).

JD & The Straight Shot's previous albums have previously collaborations with Joe Walsh of The Eagles, pedal steel guitar virtuoso Robert Randolph, and songwriter/guitarist Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits.  The band has toured with such acts as The Eagles, The James Gang, Allman Brothers Band, and more.
