"They Can't Tell Me Nothing" is the first single from Boulder based - genre defying Paper Diamond's forthcoming EP 'Paragon' set to be released April 16th 2013. Paragon will feature a range of production, instrumentation, and collaborators all weaved into Paper Diamond's signature style.  During the past two months, while on tour with Excision, Paper Diamond has been dropping the new single which has caused crowds to get all railed up into a frenzy. According to Paper Diamond, "It's one of the rowdiest parts of the show." The single features original verses from Texas rapper J Fresh, and for the next two months, you can expect several more leaks, songs, and releases from Paper Diamond leading up to the release next month!

"They Can't Tell Me Nothing" exlusively premiered on This Song is Sick, who boasts,"This has all the signs of being a festival anthem. The song starts with a peculiar stabbing synth that sets the mood of the track. It builds more energy and drop in some chopped up rapping adding the perfect touch. The drop hits and doesn’t let up, then bringing in the eerie synths once more."

In less than 10 hours, "They Can't Tell Me Nothing" had already received over 15,000 downloads.   Other blog favorties are picking up on it quick, Electrojams comments,"Neverone to rely too heavily on a single style of EDM, the Colorado-based DJ has started to put out some serious trap tracks and  this is his best one yet. The song is packed with hard beats and a solid rhythm that lends itself easily to dancing, especially when the drop comes and the song gets downright rowdy. With all of the trap songs coming out lately, Paper Diamond manages to stay fresh by seamlessly blending the genre with his heavier dubstep style that we’ve all come to know and love." EDM Sauce claims, “They Can’t Tell Me Nothing” is a splendid bass music track that has been mastered to perfection."

With his stacked schedule, heading out on a 3 month tour with Excision was not an easy decision to make at first, but Paper Diamond makes it a priority to refuse to let anyone pigeonhole his sound. While “genre-defying” is an overused word, Paper Diamond is one of the few producers who truly pulls it off, seamlessly weaving together genres as diverse as electro, trap, funk, dubstep, house, moombahton and hip-hop, all with a whiff of ganja smoke floating through it.

Paper Diamond continues his nationwide tour with Excision.
