After a PBS Thirteen broadcast and two Independent Music Award nominations, “Thank You Les” hits the new Cutting Room in NYC for a film screening and live performance packed with “Special Guests” to celebrate the release of a limited edition vinyl. “Thank You Les”, a recording and documentary tribute to industry icon, Les Paul, brings forth a dream cast of big name talent including Keith Richards, Steve Miller, Slash, José Feliciano, Bucky Pizzarelli, Eddie Brigati and more. The documentary, which takes viewers inside the live analog sessions, covers interviews with artists who were closest to Les and sheds light on his genius and Vaudevillian sense of humor. Spearheaded by Les’ long-time sideman, Lou Pallo, “Thank You Les” captures the unique vibe of the of the infamous Les Paul Mondays, in all its media forms. Lou Pallo will appear with members of Les Paul’s Trio plus “Special Guests” from the project on Friday, May 17th at the Cutting Room on 32nd between Park and Madison in NYC. The show will be preceded by a screening of the documentary at 7 p.m. On display at the show will be a unique Les Paul commemorative guitar autographed by the musicians on the “Thank You Les” project which will be up for auction to benefit the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
