This was created by King Britt in an experimental attempt to go back to a semi primitive process of CV triggers and analog sequences. Within this experiment lies the connection between old world ideas and new world technology, with the result remaining otherwordly and the outcome being somewhere between "Blade Runner" and "808 State."Woven around the twin threads of contemporary electronic music and the creative use of technology - old and new - Mountain Oasis features world-class musical performances by many of the greatest artists in contemporary music, along with talks, seminars, and panels by artists and others; interactive experiences for audiences; art installations and exhibitions, and more. The events all take place indoors, within easy walking distance of one another, in the heart of downtown Asheville. The mountain oasis that is Asheville provides extraordinary inspiration as a stunningly beautiful and unique setting for the festival. Both its rich cultural history and its current innovative vitality are inseparable from the Mountain Oasis experience.VIP Weekend passes are now sold out, but GA Weekend passes and daily tickets are still available at www.mountainoasisfestival.com.
