NedFest Continues...2012 Line-Up Announced!

NedFest is an annual three-day outdoor music, arts and microbrew festival with camping located in the mountains of Nederland Colorado, just 17 miles west of (3, 000 ft. above) Boulder.  Today NedFest announced their inital line-up, including Keller Williams, Steve Kimock, Kyle Hollingsworth, Melvin Seals, Jimmy Herring, Vince Herman and many more.

Secret Chimp Swings into the Spotlight at SF's Connecticut Yankee

Seeking refuge from a brisk and windy San Francisco evening, hirsute hippies and mustachioed hipsters file into the Connecticut Yankee for a special performance by jam band collective Secret Chimp.  Ironically enough, the Connecticut Yankee, which has undergone a plethora of name changes and facelifts since it first opened in 1907 as “Hilda’s Saloon,” is in fact a loyal municipality of Red Sox Nation. Go figure!

Shoe Fest: Roots Rock at its Best

Shoe Fest will be back the weekend of September 7-9, 2012. After the success of last year's festival, we are happy to return to Stonehouse Park in Earlville, IL.

Great American Taxi occupy Top 10 Americana Chart

Produced by East Nashville’s critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Todd Snider, Great American Taxi’s third album, Paradise Lost (released October 11, 2011) continues to occupy a top-ten Americana Airplay chart position. The new release is described as “a mixture of country, blues and rock blurred together,” notes keyboardist/singer and album executive producer Chad Staehly. “Taxi moves along the tradition of playing what is really electrified country folk music of the common man.”

The 9th Annual Mark Vann Foundation Holiday Benefit

Mark Vann’s spirit parted company with his body on March 4, 2002.  Mark consistently lived by the motto of “Go Big!”.  He applied this motto to both playing music and his unending willingness to offer his time and knowledge to teach anybody who wanted to learn.  He encouraged others to “Dream Big”, “Go Big”, and “Pick Big”, and personally supported their efforts to do so.
