Grateful Web's Wakarusa Preview: Day 3

The rain yesterday definitely put a damper on people’s moods and show attendance, but the artists kept the show going for Wakarusa 2012.  

There are still two great days of music left, hopefully with better weather.  Here are the shows you will not want to miss for Saturday of Waka:

Although many people might not see Arkansas as a festival hotspot, Wakarusa Music Festival, which will take place May 31-June 3 on Mulberry Mountain, is sure to prove them wrong.

The Dead Kenny Gs 'Gorelick' Limited Edition 12" EP + Tour Dates

The Dead Kenny Gs have made their punk rock masterpiece—a 17-minute EP entitled Gorelick available May 8 from The Royal Potato Family. Not one more second is needed as the DKGs slash and burn their way through six tracks, including originals "Beer," "Daddy Issues" and "Punk Rock Girlfriend," plus a bruising rendition of their namesake The Dead Kennedys' "Kill The Poor."

Wakarusa Lineup Part II: Umphrey's McGee, Del McCoury, Primus

Wakarusa 2012 announced the second of the three installments of this year's lineup. Headliners include two sets of Umphrey's McGee and Girl Talk, Del McCoury Band, Primus. Also announced were Big Gigantic, Fitz and The Tantrums, Tea Leaf Green, Toubab Krewe and more.

They include already annouced: Bobby Weir, Jackie Green and Chris Robinson, G. Love and Special Sauce, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Beats Antique and more.

THE DEAD KENNY Gs To Tour With PRIMUS

Straight from a three week tour with Garage A Trois, saxophonist Skerik and percussionist/vibraphonist Mike Dillon rejoin bassist Brad Houser in their other primary band, The Dead Kenny Gs, for ten dates supporting Primus in the Southeast at the end of May. The trio will also headline a handful of its own shows during the run. The Dead Kenny Gs are touring behind their critically-acclaimed new album, Operation Long Leash, out now on Royal Potato Family.
