The Oriental Theater to Host Meniskus and Fraga on Saturday, May 26. Denver, CO.
One of Denver's finest and most up-and-coming venues, The Oriental Theater, will play host to two of our favorite local live acts later this month. Local crowd-pleasers meniskus will join Fraga for a one-night-only show on Saturday, May twenty-sixth at the Oriental.
"We're excited to be back at the Oriental," said violinist and charismatic vocalist Eric Ostberg of meniskus, "and to be there with Fraga, is going to pretty much guarantee that the crowd is going to set some kind of record for non-stop dancing." Live performances by both meniskus and Fraga are well-attended by diverse crowds attracted to the unique sounds of each band.
Doors open at seven PM, show starts at eight.
About The Oriental Theater
The historic Oriental Theater is located at 4335 West 44th Ave in vibrant North Denver. Recent renovations provide the extensive expanse of dance floor space this show will require.
Originally formed in Boulder, meniskus is currently on a Colorado tour to support the release of "The Wall of Sound" CD. Known for its unique blending of latin and rock rhythms, meniskus features Eric Ostberg on the violin and vocals; Bryan Bardusco on guitar and percussion; and Chris Wright on drums and vocals. Hailing from Boulder, CO, this nine-piece band features members of Cabaret Diosa, and has taken classic 20's & 30's Jazz musical parameters and spread them to the borders of early Cuban and Jamaican music. Fraga also seamlessly weaves Americana elements such as pedal steel, ukulele, and banjo into its unique sound.
