Moogfest adds Moby, Amon Tobin: ISAM Live, Kode9, The Antlers, Atlas Sound, Beak> & More To 2011 Lineup!

Moogfest 2011, AC Entertainment’s annual festival of electronic and visionary music, celebrating the innovative spirit of Bob Moog, is expanding on the tremendous success of last year’s reinvented Moogfest concept. Moby, performing with a full band, Amon Tobin: ISAM Live, Dan Deacon, Kode9, The Antlers, Atlas Sound, Glasser, Beak> (Portishead’s Geoff Barrow), Stickmen (Tony Levin & Pat Mastelotto), Lunzproject (Hans-Joachim Roedelius & Tim Story), and Wham City Comedy Tour will now join the already exceptional 2011 lineup of electronic music pioneers, contemporary groundbreaking artists, and up & comers further pushing musical boundaries.

As previously announced, ‘70s innovators Tangerine Dream, Suicide, and Hans-Joachim Roedelius, will join the Flaming Lips, Passion Pit, STS9, Ghostland Observatory, Crystal Castles, Battles, Tim Hecker, Toro Y Moi, Matthew Dear, Holy F**k, M83, Austra, Twin Shadow, and many more, at this year’s festival. And there’s much more in the works – more concerts, as well as information regarding workshops, talks, interactive experiences, art exhibitions and installations will be announced in the coming weeks.

Moogfest 2011 takes place October 28-30 in beautiful Asheville, NC, headquarters of Moog Music, and the adopted home of Bob Moog.

Into It. Over It. Announces North American Tour

Chicago-based, Philadelphia-raised indie-punk songwriter Evan Thomas Weiss, aka Into It. Over It., has announced plans to tour the US and Canada opening for UK-based Epitaph recording artist Frank Turner and American folk punk band Andrew Jackson Jihad. The tour, which stretches from late September to early November, follows Weiss' recent set of dates supporting Fake Problems, Pomegranates, Laura Stevenson and The Cans, Mansions and more.

In addition to the upcoming dates, Weiss and Into It. Over It. have announced plans to begin recording their debut full length album with producer Ed Rose (Get Up Kids, The Appleseed Cast, The Casket Lottery) at Blacklodge Studios in Eudora, KS. Tracking on the new record begins June 25th and lasts through July 9th, and will be released Fall 2011 on No Sleep Records.

Phish In Colorado for Labor Day Weekend

Phish will close their 2011 Summer Tour with three consecutive nights at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO over Labor Day weekend (September 2, 3 and 4). Onsite camping will be available in the lush soccer fields adjacent to the stadium. Colorado was the site of Phish's first extended tour outside of the Northeast, and the band has enjoyed a special connection with the community ever since. These additional dates will be the last announced by the band for the Summer and Fall.

An online ticket request period is currently underway for the Dick's Sporting Goods Park shows at http://phish.portals.musictoday.com/ and will conclude at noon ET on Monday, May 23. Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Saturday, June 4, at 10:00 AM MT.

Phish kicks off their 2011 Summer Tour on Memorial Day weekend, with three consecutive nights (May 27, 28 & 29) at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY. Stops along the way include Cleveland, Cincinnati, Mansfield, Darien Lake and more, as well as 2-night runs in Holmdel, Columbia and Alpharetta. The band also plays host to Super Ball IX, their own 3-Day Festival over Fourth of July Weekend in Watkins Glen, NY. Phish then hits the West Coast for shows at The Gorge, a sold out night at the Hollywood Bowl and two sold out shows in scenic Lake Tahoe, followed by a stop at Outside Lands in San Francisco and three sold out nights in Chicago.

Beady Eye Add Philadelphia Date To Sold-Out North American Run

Beady Eye announce today the addition of a Philadelphia date on their first North American tour. Previously announced dates in New York, Chicago & Toronto quickly sold-out when announced earlier this month. The band (Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock) will be giving fans in Philadelphia a first live taste of their debut album, Different Gear, Still Speeding at Theater of the Living Arts on June 25th. Beady Eye is currently on their sold-out debut European tour. Ben Harper: Give Till It's Gone Streets 5/17/11

On May 17th, Virgin Records will release Give Till It's Gone, Ben Harper's 10th studio album. It was recorded at the Los Angeles studio of Jackson Browne, who harmonizes with Ben on "Pray That Our Love Sees The Dawn." The album also features two tracks co-written and performed with Ringo Starr - the psychedelic-tinged "Spilling Faith" and "Get There From Here," an improvisational instrumental.

Ben will headline a trio of festivals this spring: Lollapalooza Chile, Bluesfest in Australia and GrassRoots, the New Zealand Blues & Roots All Music Festival, followed by the Wakarusa Festival and more dates below with more soon to be announced. The Felice Brothers Sign To Fat Possum Records

The Felice Brothers announced today that they have signed with Fat Possum Records, home of Andrew Bird, The Walkmen, and Wavves, among many others. The band will release their fifth full-length album and Fat Possum debut later this spring. More news on the upcoming album will be confirmed shortly.

Last week, The Felice Brothers announced new headlining tour dates in the US, Australia, and New Zealand. Before heading out on the six-week international tour, the Palenville, NY-based band will perform during SXSW in Austin, TX, on March 19th at Auditorium Shores alongside Bright Eyes, Wavves, Man Man, and Middle Brother. The first leg of the US tour begins March 25th in Oneonta, NY, and wraps up April 16th at Coachella in Indio, CA, where The Felice Brothers will make their debut performance at the festival. The second half of the tour will begin April 28th in San Francisco, CA, and currently continues through May 6th in Chicago, IL. The band will also travel for the first time to Australia and New Zealand from April 20th through 24th. Fishbone Embarking on 2011 Tour

On February 8th hyperactive punk/funk/ska legends Fishbone will embark on a 25 date cross-country tour including stops at the Aggie Theater in Fort Collins (Feb 10) and Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom  in Denver (Feb 11).

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the highly innovative and influential Los Angeles outfit. Perhaps the most original band to emerge in the early 80’, Fishbone went on to release over 10 albums and influence countless bands including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Public Enemy, and Jane’s Addiction.

Complimenting the release of the 2010 documentary Everyday Sunshine- The Story of Fishbone, the boys have been back in the studio working on material for a to be announced new album set for release in 2011. Fishbone is a musical gem of the L.A. music scene, and paved the way for modern music.
