The Malah Spring & Summer Tour Dates

The three-headed livetronica force The Malah is hitting the road all summer. From club dates along the West Coast with Signal Path, to marquee sets at festivals across the Midwest and up the Atlantic, The Malah will be pushing their genre-defying brand of electronic exploration upon thousands of fans across the country. Known for their stimulating sets fusing the jam and rock aesthetic with electro, trance, and dubstep, The Malah uses the latest music technology to elevate their sound--at once seeming much bigger than a three piece, but having the deft maneuverability of a tight-knit group. Guitarist Brandon Maynard layers intricate melodies on top of the solid groove battery of bassist Elliott Vaughn and drummer Seth Fankhauser. All three move fluidly between the organic and synthetic, triggering samples and tackling complex synth runs. Between their stunning technical ability, and the visceral lighting design, fans are treated to a full-on sensory experience at each and every performance.

The Malah begins its summer run Memorial Day Weekend at Lightning in a Bottle. This eclectic and intimate festival in Silverado, CA has been known for its outlandish productions and act-breaking bills. Throughout June, The Malah will support Signal Path at a string of dates up and down the West Coast, from Oregon and Washington, to the southern tip of California in San Diego. Then it's off to the brand new electronic explosion of The Blastoff in Ohio, before STS9's Re:Generation, The Big Up, Rootwire, and Camp Barefoot. More festival dates are sure to be added, as word of The Malah's prowess spreads from coast to coast.

EOTO: A Vicious Bass Onslaught

Dubstep has arrived. It's in the clubs. It's on TV, insidiously creeping into commercials and terrorizing radio waves around the world; from Berlin to New York City and everywhere in between, Dubstep is a force to be reckoned with. The once-underground phenomenon crossed the pond and went mainstream. Thanks to its growing popularity, amateur producers just flip on their low frequency oscillators and take a nap. Drab and derivative, the genre has been co-opted by DJs simply regurgitating the work of others. There is one act, though, that has been leading the way and setting the standard for live performance Dubstep/Electro/House for over five relentless years. One force that does it live.

The cyber-kinetic bass juggernaut EOTO is Dubstep's savior and innovator. Two twisted demons blasting razor-bass and shrapnel beats from coast to coast and beyond. Snarling and brutal, these psy-dub beat sorcerers create Dubstep from the ground up, night after night, using only real instruments and their sonic wizardry. No pre-programmed loops, no heavy samples snatched from other producers, Jason Hann and Michael Travis bring Dubstep to life in real time, and push the movement into unexplored territories. Their soul-shattering brand of lazerstep is as mesmerizing as it is evil.

Those who haven't been exposed to the two-headed, buzzsaw-juggling behemoth best check their schedules. EOTO is in the process of throwing down an unprecedented 60 performances in 64 nights. There's no break, there's no solace, just a vicious bass onslaught from the South to the Rocky Mountains to the West Coast, and back across the Midwest. And that's before festival season even kicks off. Beginning with Summer Camp, and running through Wakarusa, The Big Up, and Nateva in August, EOTO is already charting its course of summer destruction. You can bet they're planning something perverse and especially warped for the season's most anticipated gathering of subsonic junkies: Sonic Bloom Festival.

There is no stopping EOTO from spreading a near lethal dose of dance music to the masses. The duo just unleashed a FREE 10-track sampler from their 2011 Colorado tour on SoundCloud and is also expected to release the third rendition of their annual live tour compliation called "K-Turns and U-Turns" on May 17th (Album Art). The 39-song-collection was recorded live in 2010 with each disc meticulously mixed to flow like a live show.

To educate and prepare the unwitting masses for their awesome destructive power, EOTO just wrapped up filming for their soon to be released live DVD. Soon, the world will be able to witness these two dark ninjas maneuvering in precise symbiosis through technology, slaying crowds in high definition, and will understand that Travis and Hann have been, and always will be, true pioneers of Dubstep. Their debut concert DVD will capture their entirely original, completely improvised sonic assault. Beware of the release date, to be announced this summer.

For more information about EOTO or their spring/summer tour check out their website at www.eotomusic.com and don't forget to check out their new ticketing service offering only $2 ticketing fees on all advance tickets.

The NEW DEAL announces the end of a spectacular 12- year career

The NEW DEAL announces the end of a spectacular 12- year career with a strong run of shows that will wrap up in the fall.

It has been an amazing run for the band and we appreciate the loyal and dedicated tND fanbase across North America and Asia. Our individual lives have taken very different paths with family, living abroad, and other various projects. We have come to a point where the time and commitment that it takes to maintain our band at its best is no longer possible. As a group, we’ve never been known to go halfway, so we have decided to end things with a great run of summer and fall shows that we hope to be the best yet.

Over the next several months, TND will return to the East Coast. The final Summer and Fall 2011 shows will bring us to many of our favorite places in the US and Canada, and we’re looking forward to finishing things off in a big way.

We look forward to each and every one of these very special shows. Our fans have been fantastically devoted and supportive, and we hope to give them a final run of performances that will be truly memorable.

In addition to the summer shows and festivals already announced, we expect to add a few more dates to give as many fans as possible the opportunity to see us play together one last time.

Much love,
Darren, Dan and Jamie

Damon & Naomi Announce Coast-to-Coast Tour

Damon & Naomi embark on a coast-to-coast US tour behind their new album, False Beats and True Hearts (out May 17th on 20/20/20), with a live show featuring lead guitarist Michio Kurihara (Boris, Ghost) on the East Coast and Midwest, and saxophonist/arranger Bhob Rainey (nmperign) on the West Coast. The tour is a co-headline with Amor de Dias, the duo of Alasdair MacLean (The Clientele) and Lupe Núñez-Fernández (Pipas) -- although these shows mark Amor De Dias's US debut, the two duos have already played together several times in the UK, so expect collaborations between these friends throughout.

Damon Krukowski says of their live show:

"When we play live, we prefer to strip most everything away but the emotional core for us of the lyrics, and our voices. It's a more folky approach, trying to communicate the emotions in the songs as fully as we can in a live setting. For that reason we also love to bring lead players with us who respond and add to that kind of direct emotional approach."

To celebrate this tour of duos, Damon & Naomi are releasing a new track off their forthcoming record. Listen to “Shadow Boxing,” a song Damon describes as their “Richard and Linda Thompson-inspired number, a duet/conversation/argument in song."
