The 15th Annual Suwannee Springfest is pleased to announce special on-site collaborations, including the Colorado Superjam featuring Emmitt-Nershi, Michael Kang, The Motet and others, as well as Travelin’ McCourys with The Lee Boys. Additional artists just confirmed to the lineup include Verlon Thompson, Ralph Roddenberry Band, Sol Driven Train, Side Effects, Habanero Honeys, The Mantras, Andrew and Noah, Roy Book Binder, Tennessee Firearms, The Honeycutters, New Familiars, Adelle Cotton and more, who will all perform at the festival March 24-27, 2011 at Live Oak, Florida’s Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park.
Early Bird Tickets are on sale now for only a few more days. On Tuesday, February 1 general admission prices will be raised from $125 to $150. Discounted Student Tickets have just been added for only $110 for the weekend, including camping.

2011 Suwannee Springfest Ticket Info: Early bird tickets are on sale now until January 31 for $125. From February 1–March 15 tickets will be priced at $150. From March 16-March 23 tickets will be $165. Students can purchase discounted tickets in advance for $110 and for $150 at the gate (current, non-expired ID required).
From March 23 on, including at the festival gates, all regular weekend tickets will be $180. Saturday/Sunday two-day passes (with camping) will be $145 and available only at the gate. Single day tickets will be priced as follows: Thursday: $50, Friday: $65, Saturday: $75, Sunday: $50 (single day tickets do not include camping). Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is also home to other Big IV Productions, including the Blackwater Music Festival (new in 2010), Magfest and the Bear Creek Music & Arts Festival (which recently celebrated its fourth). Hosted each November, the 2010 Bear Creek Music & Arts Festival was such a huge success and attracts such a loyal group of attendees, that dates and select artists have already been announced for next year. Scheduled for November 11-13, 2011, the preliminary lineup includes Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood, The Funky Meters, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, John Scofield & Piety Street, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Lettuce, George Porter, Jr., Jon Cleary, and the Pimps of Joytime. Tickets to the 5th Annual Bear Creek Music & Arts Festival go on sale to the public on Saturday, March 5 at 8AM EST through 
The Salmon is also excited to have Andy Thorn in the banjo department. If you're not familiar with Andy, you will be after this run of dates. Andy is a new generation prodigy amongst banjo players! He is recently best known as a member of the Emmitt-Nershi Band and the Drew Emmitt Band.
Three-day festival tickets are only $45 in advance and $60 at the gate and include music, three nights of camping and all taxes and fees. The Suwannee Music Park is also offering a discount on cabins and golf carts for this event. A cabin and a golf cart for three nights for 4 people can be rented for only $400 plus tax (tickets sold separately). In memory of Rachel, all guests are invited to wear costumes that include the color purple on Saturday, May 14, commemorating her favorite color.

With charming chords descending the wurltizer keys like falling snow, the Mynabirds' "All I Want" starts out like a typical Christmas song. But by the second line, it's clear that this is singer-songwriter Laura Burhenn's cry for anything but another ordinary holiday. "All I Want" navigates global warming, messy politics, endless wars, and American consumerism, and brushes it all away to remind us of the snow-white core of the holidays: love. "Have yourself a happy little New Year," Burhenn sings, "'Cause the politicians will be at their same old arguments: Should we start another war or should we raise another tax?" Burhenn declares that she's opting out of society's endless back and forth to "sit down with [her] love and…remember what it means to celebrate without a single store-bought thing." Like a mug of hot cocoa served with a dash of John Lennon's "Gimme Some Truth", "All I Want" goes down like an old standard in a whole new era.
Since the band formed in 2007, pinning down their sound has remained a difficult task. At times, the band sounds like Brooklyn’s answer to Fela Kuti, with frenetic afrobeat rhythms rubbing elbows with infectious indie-pop hooks and catchy synths. Frontwoman/saxophonist Kalmia Traver explains, "We're children of this noisy age, with access to so much music from across time and space. We soak up all the sounds. What comes out can be unpredictable, but it will be uniquely ours." Uniquely their own, indeed.
