Truth & Salvage Co. Announce Summer Tour | Bonnaroo, Red Rocks, Avetts & more

Truth & Salvage Co. will embark on a coast-to-coast U.S. tour this summer in support of their self-titled debut album, due May 25 on Silver Arrow/Megaforce. The 43-date run marks the band's first extended headline tour. The trek also includes performances at a number of high profile summer festivals, including Bonnaroo, Beale Street Music Festival, Wakarusa and High Sierra Music Festival.

"We are having a blast and it just keeps getting better. The whole thing is a dream come true," says Truth & Salvage Co.'s vocalist/guitarist Scott Kinnebrew. "It's going to be beautiful. Throughout the summer we have shows booked in towns and festivals all over the nation with people as eager to see us as we are eager to see them. Now is the moment and this moment is fine!"

Truth & Salvage Co. emerged from the revered Hotel Cafe singer/songwriter scene in Los Angeles. The band's six members met after migrating to the West Coast from various points throughout the Midwest and Southeast. Comprised of four lead vocalists and songwriters, the band attracted the attention of The Black Crowes' Chris Robinson. He would go on to sign Truth & Salvage Co. to his label and produce their debut album. The 12-track effort that resulted from those sessions has drawn early comparisons to the likes of The Band, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and The Eagles. Standout songs such as the album's first single "Call Back" and it's closing track "Pure Mountain Angel" intertwine timeless country rock balladry with sweet four part harmonies, while up-tempo guitar-driven numbers like "See Her" and "Heart Like A Wheel" strike a perfect balance between vintage rock choruses set against rugged Americana.

Truth & Salvage Co.'s unreleased song and video of "Them Jeans" was recently selected by Gap Jeans to debut on the fashion retailer's new iPad e-commerce application.

Currently, Truth & Salvage Co. is on the road with The Avett Brothers.

Truth & Salvage Co. | Debut Album & Tour With Avett Bros.

TRUTH & SALVAGE CO. will release their debut studio album on May 25 through Silver Arrow/Megaforce Records. Produced by Chris Robinson, the self-titled 12 song collection is centered on the band's soaring four-part harmonies and Americana rock ethos. TRUTH & SALVAGE CO. developed much of the material while opening for The Black Crowes over the course of 2009. With four lead singer/songwriters each contributing to the effort, the tracks range from the clever lyrical style of "Old Piano," the epic bohemian rocker "Jump The Ship," to the band's staple set closer "Pure Mountain Angel."

The six musicians of TRUTH & SALVAGE CO. (vocalist/guitarist Scott Kinnebrew, vocalist/guitarist Tim Jones, vocalist/drummer Bill "Smitty" Smith, vocalist/keyboardist Walker Young, bassist Joe Edel and keyboardist Adam Grace) hail from diverse Southern and Midwestern backgrounds. Prior to their conception, the veteran members had been involved in well-regarded regional bands like Scrappy Hamilton and Old Pike, while performing with acts such as The Moldy Peaches, Ben Folds Five, Jack Johnson, and The Squirrel Nut Zippers, as well as members of My Morning Jacket and Rogue Wave.

All six musicians migrated to Los Angeles, meeting at Hollywood's famous Hotel Café where singer Tim Jones served as the venue's talent booker. First performing together during casual late-night jam sessions, they quickly discovered their chemistry was undeniable. It was on that very stage that TRUTH & SALVAGE CO. was born.

TRUTH & SALVAGE CO. return to Hotel Cafe every Friday night for a four week residency that runs through March 12. In April they'll join The Avett Brothers. Plans for an extended tour around the album's release will be announced shortly.

They spent seven days in December tracking at acclaimed engineer/musician David Teegarden's Natura Digital Recording Studios just outside of Tulsa. The album, tentatively scheduled for a June release, will reflect JFJO's first year of touring and writing together since founding member and pianist Brian Haas and drummer Josh Raymer revamped the line-up last January with the addition of lap steel guitarist Chris Combs and upright bassist Matt Hayes.

About Michael Formanek:

Michael Formanek may have one of the most diverse biographies in contemporary improvised music. At first glance his list of musical affiliations is both intriguing and confusing. Spanning nearly twenty three years he has played and/or recorded with Tim Berne, Freddie Hubbard, Stan Getz, Marty Ehrlich, Chet Baker, Tony Williams, Gerry Mulligan, Kevin Mahogany, Fred Hersch, Marimolin, Dave Liebman, Uri Caine, Joe Henderson, Mark Isham, James Emery, Bob Mintzer, Mingus Dynasty, Mingus Big Band, Terumasa Hino, Cedar Walton, Attila Zoller, Eddie Daniels, George Coleman, Franco Ambrosetti, Jane Ira Bloom, Ted Rosenthal, Bob Moses, Daniel Schnyder, and Gunther Schuller.  "...deep propusion, big beefy tone, a strong sense of line, individuality expressed through avoiding the expected." - Village Voice

About Tom Rainey:
"He is a player who swerves between avant-garde notions and a mainstream sensibility, and when he plays, the smell of invention is in the air" - Josef Woodard, L.A. Times.

The John McNeil Harmonic Extravaganza! - A THANKSGIVING TREAT!

After blowing your diet completely and spending yet another torturous holiday with family members you can't stand, you now have the opportunity to wipe the slate clean.  John McNeil's Harmonic Extravaganza is just the thing to erase the evil memories of Thanksgiving and to steel you against Yuletide challenges yet to come.

You see, this is no ordinary music; the chords and tonal colors generated by this band are specifically designed to resonate within your cerebral cortex and stimulate your pleasure centers with endorphins.  In other words, this band puts the "hip" in hippocampus, the "myg" in amygdala and removes the "dull" from medulla. It's like electroshock therapy without the drooling and loss of short-term memory.
