Award-winning tenor saxman Bobby Watson appears on the April 9 tribute to pianist Herbie Hancock. Trumpet player Stan Kessler and reedmen Kerry Strayer and Kim Park are also featured in upcoming weeks on the show.

Hosted by Pete Weber and Pearl MacDonald, 12th STREET JUMP features vocalists David Basse and Nedra Dixon, musical director Joe Cartwright on piano, Tyrone Clark on bass and Mike Warren on drums in a fast-paced hour of jazz, blues and topical sketch comedy. Additions to 12th Annual All Good Music Festival

photos by Phil Emma- for the Grateful Web

The 12th annual All Good Music Festival has added performances from The JOIN (featuring Shearer & Shields of the NEW DEAL with Benevento & Russo), Brazilian Girls to combine with previously announced Perpetual Groove for the Thursday Night All Good Pre-Party and to continue the march towards summer's quintessential live music event held July 11-13 at Marvin's Mountaintop in Masontown, WV.

Their music incorporates bits of reggae, electronica, jazz, bossa nova, and you name it, and despite their name, no one in the band is Brazilian. "Brazilian Girls have taken the elegant seduction and gentle mystery of a Film Noir nightclub act, and infused it with the force and vivacity of the dance beat," says Jane Ratcliffe of Vogue.

Jamie Shields (Keys) & Darren Shearer (Drums) of The New Deal developed The JOIN, a format where they will host a revolving door of musicians depending on what area of the world they're in.  The music takes the flavor of each setting, situation and guest performer, but is championed thru their distinctive 'livetronic' sound.  For the All Good Festival performance The JOIN enlists good friends, Marco Benevento & Joe Russo (the DUO) for a special amalgamation that should not be missed.

These additions supplement this year's previously announced first-rate lineup of Widespread Panic, Phil Lesh & Friends, Gov't Mule, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Keller Williams w/Moseley, Droll & Sipe, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi Soul Stew Revival, Mike Gordon, Dark Star Orchestra, The Avett Brothers, SOJA, Railroad Earth, Tea Leaf Green, Perpetual Groove, The Bridge, Hot Buttered Rum, RAQ, Bonerama, Pnuma Trio, The Wood Brothers, Bassnectar, Outformation, Telepath, deSol, Scrapomatic and Basshound. Many more acts are still to be announced before the festival takes place.

Filling over 40 hours of live music throughout the weekend, attendees are able to witness each and every artist at the All Good Music Festival with no overlapping sets taking place in one centrally located concert area.

Additionally, the All Good Festival continues its search for new and unknown talent by having groups submit their Electronic Press Kit (EPK) to SonicBids.com. All bands interested in a chance to kick off the festival Thursday night or join the bands performing Friday need to submit their music by April 18 for consideration here.

Continuing its tradition of philanthropy and community support, the All Good Festival is partnering with Conscious Alliance for their annual food drive. The food donations contributed by festival patrons directly benefit the Saint Ursula Food Pantry of Morgantown, WV. Each donation of 10 non-perishable, canned food items will receive a free limited-edition All Good Festival poster created by artist Chris McMurray.   Each donation of 20 items or more will receive the full two-panel poster set. Posters are printed on a post-consumer waste paper, further enhancing the greening efforts of the festival.

As the mid-Atlantic's largest live music and camping event, the All Good Festival has grown to attract over 18,000 fans from across the nation. Aside from the musical performances, one of the festival's main attractions is the serene rural West Virginian setting and the natural grandeur of Marvin's Mountaintop.

Thursday Night All Good Pre-Party (Early Arrival) tickets are available now for $15 in advance and $30 at the gate; additionally, first-tier festival tickets are available at the rate of $129 and are offered through http://allgood.musictoday.com or charge by phone by at 1-800-594-TIXX
