Allman Brothers Band

Last week, the musical world witnessed the extraordinary live debut of The Allman Betts Band, the legendary-in-the-making collaborative project between Devon Allman (son of the late great Gregg) and Duane Betts (son of the still rocking Dickey). The duo’s new rock outfit also includes Barry Oakley Jr., son of the late Allman Brothers’ bassist, along with keyboardist John Ginty, drummers John Lum and R. Scott Bryan, and slide guitarist John Statchela.

Fresh off three cruises and Island Exodus with Gov’t Mule and Lukas Nelson, The Allman Betts Band will kick off their world tour in NYC at The Brooklyn Bowl on March 27. The band will make their way across the US and will be making stops in Europe as part of their inaugural tour.

The ABB will also be making several festival appearances, including Mountain Jam, Back Home Festival, Ramblin’ Man Festival in the UK, Peach Music Festival, Lockn’, Big Blues Bender and more.

Due to popular demand, GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, producer and revered guitarist Warren Haynes has added a second Warren Haynes Presents: Dreams & Songs - A Symphonic Journey show set for March 17 at 8pm at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Haynes' hometown of Asheville, NC. The original March 16 date sold out so quickly that Haynes is turning what was going to be a one-night-only show into a special two-night event.

The inaugural Wanee Block Party presented by The Allman Brothers Band comes to Fort Lauderdale, Florida across three stages in Revolution Live, America’s Backyard, and Stache Drinking Den + Coffee Bar over two days: Friday March 22 (doors at 8PM) and Saturday March 23, 2019 (doors at 2PM). The debut collaboration of Jaimoe’s Mississippi Allstars (Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band + Cody & Luther Dickinson) will perform in Revolution Live on Friday night, followed by live music beginning at 2PM on Saturday across all three stages, featuring The Marcus King Band, North Mississippi Allstars, and more.

After a successful year touring as The Devon Allman Project with special guest Duane Betts - the sons of Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts are joining forces to form The Allman Betts Band

The ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND in 1970 were on the brink of superstardom. They had only been together for 11 months when promoter Bill Graham, who had booked them in San Francisco and New York, invited them back to Fillmore East on a triple bill with Grateful Dead and Love. And fortunately for us, the Dead's soundman (and early acid progenitor) Owsley "Bear" Stanley had his tapes rolling.

Fans of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame group THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND will be excited to hear Peach Picks: Cream Of The Crop 2003, a collection of the best performances culled from six shows in July and August 2003. Set for release May 16 via the band's Peach Records (Orchard distribution), the collection includes 36 tracks recorded between July 25 and August 10, 2003 in Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Darien Center, NY, Hartford, Charlotte and Raleigh, with no song repeated.

While the multi-talented Karl Denson has been known to structure his Tiny Universe performances as an opportunity to pay homage to an impressively diverse array of artists, nothing prepared his devoted fans for the announcement of an Allman Brothers Band tribute. When the boisterous bandleader isn’t on the road with the Rolling Stones as their full-time saxophonist, or continually collaborating with Phil Lesh & Friends, he’s primarily focused on his accomplished solo-career.

In a startling loss for American music, Gregg Allman passed away today at age 69. Gregg began collaborating with his brother Duane Allman in the early 1960s, eventually forming a band that would change the face of rock’ n ’roll and American music.
